A mercenary army organized by the Earth Independent Provisional Government. It is a de facto global independent temporary government army.

The basis of the army was three battalions deployed on Earth by the Strahl army, and after the collective mutiny and defection, they were hired by the Earth Independent Provisional Government as a mercenary army.

The core Mercenary army gather other mercenaries using their own connections and have a force comparable to the Strahl army. The IMA has its own weapons development and production bases, and develops and produces their own equipment including the Armoured fighting suit (AFS) and also copies of Strahl's military weapons and equipment.

The development of IMA weapons were initially given a German formal name (in the same way as the SDR does), but after the development of AFS, it became an English formal name.
